Marks percentage calculator
Enter the marks you obtained and the total marks for each subject. You get the total and your percentage.
Your marks
How it works
- Percentage = total marks obtained ÷ total marks × 100.
- Subjects with a different total, such as 100, 75 or 50, are added together first, so each one counts in proportion to its marks.
- Answers are rounded to 2 decimal places.

Quick questions
How do I calculate my marks percentage?
Add up the marks you obtained in all subjects, add up the total marks of all subjects, divide the first by the second and multiply by 100.
Should I add every subject, or average the subject percentages?
Add the marks first. Adding obtained marks and total marks, then dividing, is the standard way when subjects have different total marks.
Does this calculator give a grade or division?
No. Grades and divisions are set by each board and university. This calculator gives the total and the percentage only.
