FPSC age limit calculator: which posts fit you?

Check your age on the closing date, then see which of the 68 posts you also meet the degree, gender and region rules for. Do this before you pay the application fee.

Set to the closing date of Ad 3/2026, 31 Aug 2026. For a new ad, change it to the date printed in that ad.

Most people cannot. It is for a few groups, such as government servants with 2 years of service.

What you enter stays in your browser. It is not sent to us.

What the tool checks

  • Age, counted on the closing date, with FPSC’s relaxation rules.
  • Degree level, against what the ad asks for.
  • Gender, where the ad names one.
  • A seat for your region and quota, from the seats printed in the ad.

It cannot check your degree subject, your experience, or extra conditions such as council registration. For those, each post page has a checklist you tick yourself.

How FPSC counts age

  • Your age is counted on the closing date of the ad, not on the test date or today.
  • The ad prints a lower and an upper age limit for each post, for example 20 to 28 years.
  • The upper limit is relaxed by 5 years for everyone. On top of that you can use one of the categories in the form, with proof.
  • FPSC does not say whether extra months and days past the upper limit count. When you are in that range, the tool says at the limit and does not guess. Ask FPSC before you apply.

Quick questions

How does FPSC count age?

On the closing date of the advertisement. FPSC’s General Instructions say the cut-off date for calculating age is the closing date given in the ad.

Which date of birth does FPSC accept?

The one in your Matric, GCE or O-Level certificate. If the date is not on the GCE or O-Level certificate, FPSC accepts the School Leaving Certificate with a hospital or municipal birth certificate.

How much age relaxation does FPSC give?

Every post gets 5 years general relaxation. On top of that you can use one category: 3 years (residents of AJK, Gilgit-Baltistan and the Tribal Areas, Scheduled Castes, Buddhists), 10 years up to age 55 (government servants with 2 years’ service), 15 years or the years served (retired armed forces personnel), or 5 years (widow, son or daughter of a federal civil servant who died in service).

Can I claim more than one relaxation?

No. FPSC allows one category only, plus the 5 years general relaxation. You must send proof of the one you claim.

When must I have my degree and experience by?

By the closing date of the ad. FPSC says qualification, age and experience are all counted up to the closing date, and your degree result must be officially announced by then.

Does this tool decide if I am eligible?

No. FPSC decides. The tool applies the printed limits and FPSC’s published rules, and leaves the rest for you to confirm. Always read the ad for your post.
